About us

Covered in dirt and kissed by the sun – nothing brings me greater joy than cultivating wholesome, nutrient-rich food to share with others. My journey began in rural Northwest Kansas, in a tiny town, as a proud member of the Solomon Valley 4-H Club. At the tender age of 6, I took my first step into gardening. It was just the tip of an iceberg, but it marked the start of an enduring passion.

I can still remember receiving the blue ribbon I earned at the county fair for my green beans; that moment planted the seeds of what would become The Hungry Gardens. Many years have passed since then, and today, The Hungry Gardens stands as a testament to that lifelong dream.

At The Hungry Gardens, we are driven by a mission that combines health-conscious cuisine with unforgettable culinary experiences. We grow in rich soils and do not grow hydroponically to ensure the maximum level of nutrition ~ as nature intended it. Our profound commitment to quality revolves around nurturing unique microgreens, vibrant edible flowers, and other specialty ingredients that empower chefs with a distinctive culinary advantage, elevating flavor profiles to captivate discerning diners.

Our unwavering dedication ensures that our produce consistently establishes the industry's benchmark for freshness and quality. Through collaborative efforts with esteemed chefs, we bring to life some of the most remarkable and specialized offerings available. Discover our premium produce at these restaurants in Los Angeles and selected produce distributors.

The Hungry Gardens is GAP-certified by the USDA and takes pride in maintaining a level of excellence in food safety.
